Good Vibes and Karma (and maybe a Kindle)

In another effort to procrast my NaNo, and to spread the love I'm writing up something you should all know about. See I've been trying to be a better writer by being a better reader (slash listener) and reaching out. Not only is it good to reach out because there are those (who like me) love to see comments and responses, but it is also good PR. And if I wish to have more followers and comments I need to participate in the community more. It's a full circle kind of thing, just go with it...

I've seen this happen on a few blogs. They are contests. Followers get an entry, writing a comment gets another, and blogging about it on your own blog gets the third. I like this idea. I may try it someday when I have something totally awesome to give away.

But for now you should go check out Lisa and Laura Write: Spread the Love, Win a Kindle. And those two lucky sisters (who can also be referred to as LiLa) are going to be published in 2011 by Sourcebooks for their novel - The Haunting of Pemberly Brown. It's a YA mystery, which works because this supposed kindle that is up for offering is a mysterious kindle. I followed some of the other links and read about the book. I might not be a young adult anymore but I certainly will be on the lookout in Spring '11 for this...

Also the blog is fairly entertaining totally awesomeness...

  1. Thanks for the shout out! Fairly entertaining? Yeah, we'll totally take it.

  2. Okay so I guess I should have mentioned how truely awesome it is, because really, I can't get over the d-bag-o-meter. So hopefully people will check out the comments and really know they should read a bit more indepth of your blog... Oh and check out your book ;)

  3. There I fixed it.. also I learned new html code in order to strikeout... So I learned something new today, I can shut my brain off now

  4. LOL, can I shut my brain off now, too?

Good luck with the contest and your NaNo project!

  5. Ha! I like that even better! Too funny. I think we must share the same sense of humor. Any friend of the d-bag-o-meter is a friend of ours!
